Bam Bam’s Portable Paradise
The Urban Mistake Mystic
This is the place where the Creative Director of Metatron mag will be posting occasional musings about the kingdom and the crazy life full of miracles and grace that follows us when we run after our passions with reckless abandon. Only encouraging content that inspires the readers to see the world as greater place, a veritable paradise.
- God Aint Superman. After all if he was then what would be our ultimate purpose on the earth. He’s left many jobs undone so that we may jump in and show the amazing riches of His grace through mighty works. There is a possibility that we see God as this very large benevolent sometimes. scary God in the sky. He is a spirit that I believe permeates everything. So that what is created or has ever existed is inseparable from the original plans and purposed that He designed for it. This is an astounding thought that the very subtle effects of purpose are so ingrained in all of us that it does not take control but PATIENCE to attend to the unfolding of destiny. All the occurrences that happen in the world are not endorsed by God but neither does he intervene because He can’t see sin
.(This is a concept for another time) He is not a naive spirit/entity that just turns the other way during a crime. He is such a stickler for free will (our ability to choose) in this case He lets people choose their own fate and takes no credit for timely interventions that may keep the whole ship of life righted. As of late I’ve become enamored with the patience God shows us during the most trying times. Humans do their best to try and piss Him off but it seems as if His son took that edge away forever. He is no longer (to be seen as) ambivalent, brooding, disappointed, angry and/or moody. He has the heart of a Father that is always turned towards us and full of expectation of a great future. The world of Superman must be full of non-problem solving babies, because all of their problems (at least life-threatening ones) are eradicated by the super-human prowess of an alien. As we revel in our process then breakthrough becomes an inevitable occurrence not a delayed dream. I’m glad He aint Superman, that would rob us of the chance to secure victory for the kingdom while we are here on earth..bam
•Brainchild
Strange things have happened in various times but one of the more interesting was one morning after a hard rained in southern California. All of the rain had washed away the smog that permeates the atmosphere there. Threatening to choke the beauty of one of the most beautiful areas in the world. I’d visited a park with some fellow unemployed friends after we found our temp jobs at a bakery had come to an end. Not that is was a real bakery but more of a factory that made product for large chain grocery stores. Some one brought a basketball and although I hadn’t played for a while, i began to shoot. From beyond the three-point line and I couldn’t miss. I made around 10 in a row when someone uttered the words “brainchild”. It was at that point that I lost track of time and began to yell and roar much to the surprise of those around me. the only way I could explain it was I’d realized I was the solution to some of the things that ailed me the most in life. that is a scary thought, huh? That you have the keys to unlock doors that have been closed for centuries. This is the way we grow by learning to see solutions, not just problems all of the time. God desires that we bring solutions to the world and become keys that unlock the doors of destiny for everyone. Sometimes I think back to that morning and I still don’t know exactly what happened but I’m glad it did. In that moment I found a part of my identity. late I found I’d written the word brainchild in my journal. Not with any particular connotation but obviously for reasons I could not yet see..
•Wine from nothing
Hot mornings gave way to even hotter days and evenings at my job at a Moving company in Lawton Oklahoma. Very interesting because in the realm of the spectacular towns, Lawton does not register a blip. It is a small town in Southwest Oklahoma. Home of Ft. Sill and the place where Geronimo died as a prisoner of war. In 2005 it was mostly know for it’s sprawling military base and that’s about it. My days were spent hard at work lifting pianos and gun safes and the like for ranked members of the army. Our crews were made up considerably of those who could not get jobs anywhere else. Ex-cons, transients and drug addicts were all mixed together and toiling side by side for 7.25 and hour. Now with these guys the fun and joking never stopped and believe it or not moving people’s stuff was very meaningful to me. It was in this atmosphere that we pulled up to a lady’s house with 5 crates of her belongings she had just shipped from Germany. We were to drag up a ramp to and unload each one of the wooden boxes as tall as me and about 5 ft wide. They were filled with meticulously paper wrapped pieces of furniture and cardboard moving boxes. There was a promise of pizza as thanks for our help and the lady chatted with us as we unloaded the crates. It was then at a brief respite from the moving she informed us she had a box full of wine from Germany. It was clearly marked and would be heavy. After she had stepped inside to take a call, we found that box it seemed to be at least 100 pounds maybe more like 150. Then a comrade handed me a smaller box maybe 1′x1′. As soon as I picked it up it began to drip wine all over me. Immediately I put the box down and went to retrieve the owner about a possible break(which really did not make sense since it was a different box). Once she was outside we opened the box and found no broken glass or anything that could hold liquid inside. The inside of the box remained permeated with the crimson hue distinctly given to wine. With not evidence of a rational way wine could escape a bottle leave the outside of the box untouched and enter it, we stood around in awe. I ventured”If you don’t believe in God now, maybe you never will”.
So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. Proverbs 3:10
Things are not always what they appear to be. This week I began to think about the many stories I’ve experienced that defy explanation. This section of our website will be my attempt to process them out loud and attempt to apply some connotation in retrospect. Overall we strive to bring you excellence in creativity. Always with a kingdom encouraging focus
that focuses not on what isn’t, but what is and will be. The other day I started to think about an interesting occurrence when I was on a search for purpose. I was inside of a well-known retail giant in Lawton, OK with my mother and my brother. A lady was pushing a small boy of about 4 or 5 years old in a shopping cart. As they approached the group of us. The boy whom I’d never seen before in my life, stretched his arms towards me and began to say “Nathan, Nathan”. As we stood there with our mouths agape, his mother ignored what he said and just pushed Him around the corner. I haven’t thought about that encounter in a long time but It made remember the purpose and call God had for me long before I could answer it. That day a little boy confirmed something in me that became an actuality. Only the Creator can help us figure out what we are meant to do in life. Yes he gives us a choice but that does not mean there is an alternative. On this path to a greater understanding of our purpose, he is the ultimate map-maker. A day out of the thousands I’ve lived have taught me to awaken with an expectation of a miracle and it will happen. It already has. The Creator of the universe and everything that has been and will be has decided to create you and I. If that aint a miracle I don’t know what is…-5-30-12
